Ahmed Mantawy, PhD, S.E.
Project Manager

With over 12 years of experience, Ahmed has been involved in a wide variety of new construction projects including Healthcare, Educational, Aviation, Governmental, Commercial and Mixed-Use Buildings. He also worked on Hotels, and Parking Structures, as well as Highway and Pedestrian Bridges. In the last three years, he has been involved in multiple Renovation projects including Seismic Retrofit and Adaptive Re-use of existing buildings.

Growing up in a family of structural engineers (including his father and two brothers), made it an easy decision for Ahmed to pursue his career path. He earned a Doctorate degree in structural engineering and received two Master’s degrees in Structural and Aerospace engineering from University of Southern California (USC). Ahmed has also presented his research work on seismic evaluation of existing concrete buildings in many conferences including the EERI 2014 National Conference on Earthquake Engineering 2015 SEAOC Convention.

In 2018, one of Ahmed’s projects, Seaside Way Pedestrian Bridge, received the ENR ‘Best of the Best’ award in the Landscape/Urban Development Category.

Outside of work, Ahmed enjoys working out, hanging out at the beach, and watching sports. He is also a big USC Trojans football fan (Fight On!!).
