Carbon Beach House - Malibu, CA

For the new‑construction Carbon Beach House by Olson Kundig, LFA developed the structural framing to cater to the project’s coastal site and architectural features. This Malibu home sits on an elevated slab raised above the sand, creating a resilient foundation capable of withstanding high tides and storm surges which also survived the Palisades Fire with minor damage. At the street side, an opaque, unembellished concrete wall forms the front elevation, buffering the home from the noise of the six‑lane Pacific Coast Highway.
