Edmunds Colorado Center — Santa Monica, CA
Architect: Lewis Schoeplein Architects, M+M Creative Studio
The Edmunds Colorado Center takes a new spin on corporate headquarters design. Each of the 32 rooms in the 143,000 square ft. building is named after a different car, notably from Audi to Volkswagon. The lower levels are built as spaces for employees to gather and interact, featuring conference rooms, lounges, and a 1948 Cadillac Fleetwood repurposed as a coffee bar and DJ Booth. An LED floating staircase takes employees up to their offices on the second floor, where two huge aquariums are present, representing the East and West Coast.
